My paintings are grounded in a practice of direct observation, but they’re more than just portraits or realistic depictions. Each brushstroke captures a moment—distilling movement, feeling, and memory on the canvas. Through color, light, and form, I aim to express not only the presence of my subjects and the time spent with them but also my evolving approach to painting, where each layer reveals a piece of the story. Painted entirely from life, these works are meant to capture the immediacy and poetry of the moment.
